ORSHINA – Requiem for “NOVA”

‘Orshina’s Requiem for “NOVA”‘ deals with the challenging area lying between deep sorrow and the pursuit of hope. As a commemorative album, it looks at the subject of loss while stressing the need to remember people who are now gone. The emotional value of the album is in its aim to pay tribute to the lives that have been lost due to tragedy, turning overwhelming sadness into a act of remembrance. Instead of trying to explain the unexplainable, it recognises the seriousness of suffering and at the same time seeks meaning beyond it.

Centered on a desire for healing, the project expresses a hope of finding comfort in the face of profound emotional distress. This desire goes beyond one’s own grief and encourages thought about the suffering endured by other people and the importance of showing more compassion. Remembering plays a significant role in this process, as it links the pain of loss with the lasting value of the lives that have been left behind. From this point of view, the album deals with its subject in a sincere way while still retaining a sense of hope in difficult situations.

Musical variety plays a significant role in the Requiem for “NOVA”, the album combining a wide range of musical styles in order to achieve its commemorative aim. The way it has been produced shows that a great deal of creative effort has been made, the majority of the recording having taken place in Orshina’s own professional studio and the drums and mixing having been carried out at Leon Sound Pro. This musical foundation underpins a project which aims to convey grief while at the same time promoting reflection on loss, healing and the value of human life.

At its heart, ‘NOVA’s’ Requiem is dedicated to remembrance and healing. Even though grief is at the heart of the project, the message also points towards compassion and the possibility of finding comfort in the face of devastating events. By linking the preservation of memory with the hope of a more compassionate world, Orshina produces an album that goes beyond mere personal sorrow. The project’s commemorative aim gives it a definite emotional focus by placing the need to honour those who have died first and foremost.
